Sorento Capital was listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Securities on 28 October 2024. The public issue raised RM57.4 million in gross proceeds (RM55,466,265 net of share issuance expenses). Net cash used in investing activities was RM25,634,492, which included RM15,140,642 placed in unit trust funds and RM10,198,257 placed in fixed deposits exceeding three months maturity. Bank borrowings were repaid using IPO proceeds, reducing total borrowings from RM19.2 million to RM6.0 million. Excluding one-off listing expenses of RM3.1 million, profit before tax was RM39.1 million and profit after tax was RM29.3 million. Gross profit margin moved from 42.6% in the prior year to 43.1%. As at 30 June 2025, the group had utilised RM47.9 million (83.4%) of the RM57.4 million IPO proceeds, leaving RM9.5 million unutilised. The remaining proceeds are earmarked for branding and promotional marketing (RM4.9 million) and expanding the dealer network (RM4.6 million).
